Surfing Team

gro_08If you are going to surf anyway, WHY NOT?

By surfing, I mean you are committed to viewing 1,000 pages a day or more. Not that you can’t take a break once in a while, but if you can’t contribute to the team why would you want to be there?

Getting on a top team can be very rewarding, so I think it’s worth considering. The team I belong to right now usually places in the top 5 which rewards each member with 10,000 Tokens once a week.

The problem is the teams that do that, are usually maxed out with 15 members, but don’t let that stop you! The first step is to prove to yourself and others who are watching that you CAN and WILL surf 1,000 pages a day. Once you do it for a few days, go ahead and apply to one of the teams, even if it’s already full.

When you do that, your record for the last two days will show to your potential team leader and if they are looking for serious members, they can bump someone from the bottom and plug you in.

Don’t try for the very top top start with, but look for a team that needs your help. If you watch the Chat, you can often see the leaders (like Classylady) that are looking. Once you get accepted, keep up with your surfing and you will build a reputation that can leverage you into one of the higher teams later on if you decide to move.

Splash Page or Squeeze?

squeezeOld Question

Is it better to squeeze visitors for a name and email address before you hand over their free gift?

In my opinion, it depends on how bad you want them to have whatever gift you are offering them.

It’s common knowledge that the less information you ask for, the better response you will get. So with that logic in mind, isn’t it safe to assume that asking for nothing will produce the most takers?

In the case of the page you will see if you click the image, I want as many people to read my free report as I can get, no matter if they ever talk to me again. My thinking is, if I do a good enough job with the report, they will seek me out, or at least remember  me the next time they see one of my ads.

So there you go, are you going to make them like you by forcing them to provide details reluctantly, or let them have what you have for them with no strings attached and see if they take the next step on their own?

You Decide!

Online Friends

Friends Are FunThe More Friends You Have, The More Fun It Is!

Let’s face it, clicking on a traffic exchange can often become boring and drive you away if you don’t have anything to make it interesting. Adding someone to your friends list is a simple one click operation, but Traffic Swirl doesn’t seem to have any way to make that worth doing (unless you count the Social Badge).

One thing I have started doing is adding their profile to a Bookmark in my browser. I sort them into folders, then when I have a reason to go find someone it’s easy to accomplish. See if that might add to your enjoyment online too.

Happy Clicking!

Finding Active Contacts

Glad To Meet You After You Realize that Traffic Swirl is a Social Network as well as a traffic exchange, you will probably notice that not everyone is actively interested in meeting others.

In fact, some are not active hardly at all! They may blindly surf a few pages and post theirs for others to see, but if you visit their profile you will find nothing of value.

One way to get a hand up toward finding the good ones, is when you surf at least 50 pages each day a page shows for you to claim a ticket to a drawing (why not?).

claim

After you claim yours, scroll down and you will be shown a list of all the winners from the day before. (I blurred this for privacy)

winners

Now ask yourself, do you think a few of these might just be ACTIVE? Click their name and look over their profile, then make a comment that makes them think you are the real deal (not another spammer) and see where it goes.

See you online!

Splash Pages

splashThe attention span of traffic exchange users is about two seconds, so if they are not engaged in your content by then, you lost your chance!

Splash Pages are quick loading high impact pages that push one benefit to quickly engage the reader so they want more, much like splashing water in their face. You do not need to subscribe to any service that tries to get you to upgrade to a monthly fee, these pages are simple to create yourself and dozens of them can be hosted on your own server for $1 a month.
