Splash Page or Squeeze?

squeezeOld Question

Is it better to squeeze visitors for a name and email address before you hand over their free gift?

In my opinion, it depends on how bad you want them to have whatever gift you are offering them.

It’s common knowledge that the less information you ask for, the better response you will get. So with that logic in mind, isn’t it safe to assume that asking for nothing will produce better response?

For example, if you CLICK HERE notice that I have no autoresponder around, because I want as many people to read my free report as I can get, no matter if they ever talk to me again. My thinking is, if I do a good enough job with the report, they will seek me out, or at least remember  me the next time they see one of my ads.

So there you go, are you going to make them like you by forcing them to reluctantly provide details before you even show any value, or hand over what you have for them with no strings attached and see if they take the next step on their own?

You Decide!
